Move for Motion

MOVE can mean to stir emotions and to initiate action.
In therapy, a combination of both is necessary to create MOTION

This is exactly what psychological treatment at Move for Motion aims to achieve. To create motion, when people feel stuck. Cognitive behavioural therapy, or CBT, facilitates this by making people aware of their feelings and changing their perspective on things. After this, people are motivated to experiment with new behaviour. The underlying assumption of cognitive behavioural therapy is that our thoughts determine how we feel and behave. Changing our thoughts will lead to a change in our feelings and behaviour. This, after all, is what we hope to achieve in treatment, better feelings and effective behaviour.

Many of us are troubled by our feelings and behaviour. Depressive thoughts can lead us to withdraw from the people we love, or lash out at them. Anger can make us avoid difficult conversations or to postpone making decisions, causing us to miss opportunities at work or to remain in unhappy relationships. We often do want to learn to cope, to change or to improve when we feel stuck. However, transforming this desire into concrete changes that can get us moving again often proves to be too challenging for many of us.

This is the right time for psychological treatment. KEEP ON MOVING!
